Password Protect Your Wedding Website

You can make your wedding website – or certain pages from your website – private by adding a password. When you add a password, only users who have the password can access the page.

To set password protection for your entire wedding website, please follow these steps from within your account:

  • Hover over 'Planning Tools' and click 'Wedding Website'
  • In the website editor, click the ‘Settings’ tab
  • Scroll down to the ‘Privacy’ section
  • Toggle the ‘Password’ switch to on (the switch will be green when on)
  • Enter your password in both fields, and be sure the ‘Apply to all sections of the wedding website’ box is checked
  • Click ‘Save password’

To set password protection on certain pages on your wedding website, please follow these steps from within your account:

  • Hover over 'Planning Tools' and click 'Wedding Website'
  • In the website editor, click the ‘Pages’ tab
  • Locate the page you want to password protect, and click its box
  • Click the ‘Private’ option to select it
  • Click ‘Save’
  • Click the ‘Settings’ tab
  • Scroll down to the ‘Privacy’ section
  • Toggle the ‘Password’ switch to on (the switch will be green when on)
  • Enter your password in both fields, and be sure the ‘Apply to all sections of the wedding website’ box is NOT checked
  • Click ‘Save password’

If you’ve set your password in the Privacy section and want to make other pages private as well, you don’t need to set the password each time – you only need to set the page to Private, and you can skip the steps after that. The password will be the same for all Private pages.
